Calls him ‘great, visionary leader’

Srinagar, Jun 06 (KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) paid tributes to Shaheed Masjid Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed on his 13th martyrdom anniversary terming him ‘a great, visionary and leader’ who always worked for the betterment of people despite hardships including incarceration and torture when he was in jail with Shaheed-e-Milat Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the AAC said that Molvi Mushtaq remained steadfast till his last breath.
AAC will organize a Quranic recitation program at 10 am on June 8 2018 (Friday) at AAC headquarters Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri Kadal after which tributes will be paid to Molvi Mushtaq and all other martyrs of Kashmir struggle at historic Jamia Masjid on the occasion of Jumat-ul Vida.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) chairman and AAC patron Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed his condolence on the demise of an ardent supporter of Mirwaiz family, Farooq Ahmed Khan son of late Ghulam Ahmed Khan stating that the deceased was a true well wisher of Mirwaiz family.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He led the funeral prayers of Farooq Ahmed Khan in the premises of historic Aali Masjid Eidgah and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Mirwaiz also condoled the demise of long time AAC worker Haji Ghulam Muhammad Wani resident of Hamza Colony Lal Bazar and the wife of Imtiyaz Ahmed Mehar and prayed for both the departed souls.
On the directions of Mirwaiz, a delegation comprising Muhammad Shafi Khan, Ghulam Qadir Beigh, Mushtaq Sufi, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Muhammad Yousuf Bhat and Muhammad Sidiq Hazar visited the residents of both the deceased and offered special Fateiah prayers. (KNS)
