Kupwara, Dec 26(KNS) Border Security Force (BSF) 118 battalion organized a free medical camp in Nachyian area of border town Karnah north Kashmir’s Kupwara district in which hundreds of patients having different ailments were treated and were given free medicines.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS) 118 Battalion of Border Security Force stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) in border town Karnah organized a free medical camp at Nachyain village, a team comprising of doctors from BSF, Jammu and Kashmir health department, nursing assistant and paramedics extended medical assistance to around 350 people.
Notable in Last month BSF organised its first-ever multi-specialty medical camp in Tangdhar in which as many as 22 specialists from Kupwara, Handwara and Srinagar were called to attend more than 2,000 people in the camp.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
A official said while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) 'the main objective of these free medical camps was to provide high-quality services to the poor population of the backward areas near LoC and identify their common health problems, he said 'apart from providing treatment and general health check-up, the BSF camp also made people aware of their health status, the COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, hypertension, diabibaties and other diseases'.
