CM Omar Abdullah announces Heli-skiing services in Gulmarg, Khelo India Winter Games Likely in March

Gulmarg, Feb 23 (KNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced the start of the heli-skiing season in Gulmarg, highlighting its growing appeal among adventure enthusiasts.

Speaking about the developments, he said, "Heli-skiing season begins in Gulmarg! .There are many skiers who do not like to ski apart from heli-skiing because they find slopes where there is no lift arrangement, where they have not skied before, and they leave their ski marks in the snow."

He also noted that heli-services, which were previously available only in winters, will now be benefiting both adventure skiers and tourists seeking helicopter sightseeing tours. "It used to happen in winters, now it happens all year round, so in summers, people will also take helicopter safari in Gulmarg," he added.

Abdullah expressed optimism about hosting the Khelo India Winter Games, saying, "If the snow falls properly in these days, then we should do it in the first week of March because after that it will be hot again, making it difficult this year.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"

Speaking on broader development efforts, Abdullah said, "I will personally conduct a review meeting to ensure preparations for Ramzan, covering road, water, ration, electricity, traffic, and the Waqf board in the coming days." (KNS).
