Congress Leaders Laud Nehru's Legacy in Kashmir Accession and India's Modern Development

Jammu, May 27 (KNS): Congress leaders gathered to praise the visionary role of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in defeating the two-nation theory advocated by Jinnah, emphasizing his crucial efforts in securing Jammu and Kashmir's accession to India on October 26, 1947, under Maharaja Hari Singh's rule.

PCC Chief Vikar Rasool said that Nehru's legacy is currently under attack by those who did not participate in the freedom struggle. He called on Congress members and all who recognize Nehru's significant contributions to unite against these forces to prevent the distortion of history and ensure future generations understand Nehru's core values.

Raman Bhalla described Nehru as one of the tallest leaders of modern times after Mahatma Gandhi.
