DC Goes by Foot Returns by Car; Locals hail the admin's endeavour.

Ramban, June 10 (KNS): In a significant development, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, along with other officials, cleared a major bottleneck on the road connecting Raikote Mandir village and its adjoining habitations. This area was previously inaccessible, causing significant inconvenience to over 300 families in the area.

The DC, alongside the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Varunjeet Singh Charak, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool Pawan Kumar Goswami, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PWD Naseer Ahmed Wani, and other officials, personally inspected the site and resolved the issue. The execution work on the said 1.5 Kilometer road tendered out at an allotment cost of 63 lakhs was held up for past three years, preventing access to vital transport services for the residents.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt is pertinent to mention here that the DC and his team supervised personally the execution work on the remaining/ held up 0.5 Kilometer, making possible to move their vehicles on the road in a single day.

To overcome this challenge, the DC persuaded local farmers who had been affected by the road construction to allow its completion. The DC also issued on the spot orders for crop damage compensation to farmers whose crops got damaged during the road construction process.

The successful clearance of this bottleneck will provide much-needed relief to the residents of village Raikote Mandir and its adjoining areas, ensuring access to essential services and improved connectivity.(KNS)
