General Observer Reviews Election Preparations for Srigufwara Bijbehara Assembly Constituency

Anantnag September 04 (KNS): General Observer for Assembly Constituency 45-Srigufwara Bijbehara, Rishi Garg today conducted a review meeting of the polling staff of the assembly Constituency.

During the meeting, the Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer, Zonal Magistrates and Sector Magistrates of the Constituency, and the Nodal Officers of the constituency attene. The Observer took stock of the preparedness of the election and also inspected the functioning of the Control Room.

The Observer imparted important instructions to the participants and deliberated upon almost all the issues pertaining to the upcoming Assembly Elections in the Constituency. It was impressed upon the participants to ensure strict implementation of the Model Code of Conduct and be sufficiently vigilant while performing the duties. He also directed to be very serious about the C-Vigil and redressal of the other offline complaints pertaining to the election.

The Observer urged that all grievances registered on the C-VIGIL platform be resolved with utmost urgency, ensuring a transparent and fair electoral process.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt was directed in the meeting to pass on instructions to the SST, FST and VST Teams to perform their assigned duties and report on a daily basis.

He emphasized the importance of training officials on the use of the C-Vigil app, the Flying Squad Teams (FST), and the process of granting permissions through the ENCORE app. He instructed that all political party representatives must be adequately trained on these processes.

The Observer also took the status of EVMs, strong room , barricading of the counting hall, Distribution & Collection of the EVMs and Election Material. It was also directed by the Observer to establish Voter Assistance Booths at all Polling Stations besides, Sector Magistrates must identify the 100 Meter and 200 Meter areas around the Polling Stations.

Notably, the polling for the Assembly Constituency is slated for 18th September 2024 in the first phase of polling.(KNS)
