Handwara, oct 27 (KNS): Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate dialogue with Kashmiri people to address the prolonged conflict in the region.
Speaking to reporters in Mawer area of Handwara, Rashid questioned the government’s reluctance to engage with Kashmiris, especially when talks have been held with groups in Nagaland, Ladakh, and Assam.
“Around 100,000 lives have been lost—soldiers, militants, and civilians—all human lives. It does not matter who killed whom; what matters is that these were human lives, and each life has value,” Rashid stressed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He argued that labeling Kashmiris as “Pakistani agents” does not address the root issues or ease the suffering of those affected.
He also highlighted that the solution to Kashmir’s problems cannot be achieved simply by debating Article 370’s removal or restoration. Instead, he urged all stakeholders India, Pakistan, and the people of Kashmir to come together at the negotiating table.
“Everyone must come forward to work towards a peaceful resolution,” he added.
