Srinagar, May 20 (KNS): Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) Saturday launched a special demolition drive through its Enforcement wing.
The officials according to the statement issued to KNS said in the drive a patch of Brari Numbal Lagoon, which was illegally or encroached by the violators, was restored back water-body.
As per the local inquiry at site, it was learnt that the illegal material is being dumped during night hours, which later on is used to encroach the Brari Nambal Lagoon.

Further, four illegal structures were demolished in the area Lal Bazar, Baghwanpora which were raised by the violators.
Moreover, all the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction are hereby directed that not to go for any sort of illegal constructions.
As the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal construction more, all the Tipper/Load carried owners are directed not carry construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without permission. (KNS)
