Says “wave in favour of the NC and we hope that the party will be successful and the alliance candidates will also win”

Srinagar, 05 Sept (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah Thursday submitted his nomination papers from Budgam constituency at DC office, Budgam.

Omar Abdullah was received with a rousing reception in Budgam by the party’s local unit functionaries and office bearers.

MP Srinagar Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Senior party leader Aga Syed Mehmood, Provincial Secretary Adv. Showkat Mir also accompanied the vice present to the office of DC Budgam.

Later in the day, Omar addressed party functionaries at a gathering in Budgam and said, "Contesting from two assembly seats is not a sign of weakness, but proves the strength of his party. My colleagues wanted to show that the NC is not fighting this election from a weak position, but a strong one.”

 

He further said if there was any danger of his losing from Ganderbal or Budgam, then his party colleagues would not have allowed him to contest from the two seats.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

 

“Whether it is Baramulla, Srinagar or Anantnag, there is a wave in favour of the NC and we hope that the party will be successful and the alliance candidates will also win,” he added.

He further said that he bowed his head, reaching out to the voters for their support in upholding our dignity, identity, and unique character.

"The overwhelming enthusiasm of the people was a powerful reminder that they would not allow any hostile forces to tarnish the honor of our region. The unwavering dedication and passion of our people has filled me with hope and determination as we stood united in the face of adversity. Together, we will protect and preserve all that makes us who we are, standing strong against any who seek to diminish our spirit,”he added.
