Srinagar, Nov 04 (KNS): JKLF Wednesday said that the crackdown on its activists has been intensified as police today raided its office at Abi Guzar Srinagar and arrested zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal from there.
In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF spokesman said that police has also imposed ban on meeting incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and nobody is being allowed to meet jailed leader at police station Kothibagh. “Police today raided JKLF office at Abi Guzar and cordoned it from all sides. Police searched the office and arrested JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal from there,” the spokesman said in the statement.
He said that police has also arrested JKLF activists Mushtaq Ahmad Dar from Pulwama and also conducted raids on JKLF district president Bandipora Syed Nisar Jeelani, Mushtaq Ahmad Hajin and Tariq Ahmad Pulwama and harassed their relatives. It is worth to mention that police has already arrested JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, deputy chief organizer Mir Siraj ud din Davood, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, senior resistance member Muhammad Amin Magloo, district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather(Boya), JKLF district president Kupwara Muhammad Rafiq war ,district president Budgam Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan, activist Mushtaq Ahmad Koreg, Muhammad Altaf Raina, Fayaz Ahmad Khan etc are languishing in police custody from last many days while has police is continuesly raiding the residences of JKLF vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, general secretary Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, zonal senior vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt, district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt, district president Baramullah Abdul Rashid Magloo secretary Muhammad Rajab and Tariq Ahmad, activist Fayaz Ahmad Lone and Imtiyaz Ahmad and others.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming this crackdown, raids on JKLF offices, spree of arrests and now imposition of ban on meeting with incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik at police station Kothibagh as clear frustration of Mufti government, JKLF said that these kind of oppressive measures have established the fact that Jammu Kashmir is a police state where peoples voices are being choked by police force and oppression. JKLF said that such kind of mean tactics by Mufti Government cannot stop our march towards freedom and these coward rulers should bear in mind that people of Kashmir cannot be intimidated by such oppressive tactics. JKLF said that despite these atrocities people will make million March towards TRC grounds a grand success on 7th November 2015, and if so-called rulers choose to put barriers on the march and refuse to give permission to it, will observe a complete shut-down and civil curfew on the day (Saturday, 7th November 2015).
