Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNS) ; Hojjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mousvi Safvi has strongly condemned the European Union’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, labeling the move a politically motivated attack on Iran’s sovereignty, dignity, and constitutional rights.
Safvi described the EU’s action as unjust interference in Iran’s internal affairs, arguing that it undermines a national institution tasked with protecting the Iranian people, their homeland, and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
He sharply criticized the double standards of Western powers, asserting that the true terrorists are those who have massacred unarmed Palestinian civilians in Gaza and across Palestine, killing men, women, and children indiscriminately. Safvi stated these atrocities—carried out by Israel with the full backing of the United States—have been largely ignored by the international community, while Iran’s legitimate defense forces are politically targeted.

“The EU’s designation of the IRGC exposes a clear bias,” Safvi said. “The world must recognize that the forces responsible for slaughtering innocent Palestinians are the true terrorists, not those who defend their homeland and the rights of their people.”
He reaffirmed Iran’s right to sovereignty, national defense, and dignity, stating that no foreign political maneuver can weaken the resolve of its people or the IRGC, which remains steadfast in protecting the nation and advancing the ideals of justice and resistance against oppression. (KNS)
