Srinagar, Jan 29 (KNS): Following fresh snowfall, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) has issued an avalanche warning for Ganderbal and Kupwara districts of Kashmir on Monday over the next 24 hours.
The warning indicates a LOW Danger Level for potential avalanches, particularly above 2600 meters in Kupwara and 2800 meters in Ganderbal districts.
The Residents residing in these high-altitude areas are urged to exercise caution and refrain from venturing into avalanche-prone zones over the next 24 hours, the JKDMA said.
It recommend that people stay informed about the situation and adhere to safety guidelines to mitigate the risk of potential avalanches.(KNS)
