Srinagar, Nov 17(KNS): The Special Cell for Women in Budgam, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, Government of India, and implemented by TATA Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai, organized an awareness program at Zinorain IT Services Chadoora.

The event, supported by Zinorain IT Services, DHEW Budgam, and OSC Budgam, featured Aasia, a social worker, who enlightened the audience about the Special Cell's location at the police station and the vital role of social workers in assisting women facing violence.

Nelofar Nazir, another social worker, addressed the gathering on the topics of Gender and Roles, emphasizing the creation of gender-based violence in society. A resource person from DHEW Budgam discussed available schemes for women in their respective departments. Tabasum Jan from Sakhi One Stop Center Budgam concluded the program by enlightening the audience about OSC and the services it provides. The vote of thanks was extended by Khursheed Ahmad Malik, Head of IT at Zinorain Services Chadoora(KNS).
