Srinagar, Aug 8 (KNS) : The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday carried out searches at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with a case related to online terror propaganda and recruitment of youth into militant organisations, officials said.
Official sources said the searches were conducted simultaneously in Baramulla, Shopian, Anantnag, Kupwara, Bandipora and other parts of the Valley as part of an investigation into FIR No. 03/2023 registered at Police Station CIK Srinagar.
The case has been registered under Sections 505 and 153-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), they said.

The probe pertains to the alleged use of social media and other online platforms for glorifying terrorism and attempts to radicalise and recruit impressionable youth into terrorist folds, officials added.
CIK teams searched identified premises and seized documents, digital devices and other incriminating material to aid the investigation, they said. (KNS)
