Kupwara, September 22 (KNS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS), conducted an extensive tour of the Karnah Sub Division on Friday. During her visit, she held meetings with PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions), Revenue authorities, and other stakeholders to finalize the alignment of the Rafiabad-Trehgam-Chamkote (RT-TC) four-lane Highway. Additionally, she visited the Sharda Mata Temple at Teetwal.

Upon reaching Tandgdhar, the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara chaired a meeting attended by SSP Kupwara Yogal Manas, SDM Karnah Dr. Gulzar Rather, Tehsildar Karnah Eyad Qadri, PRIs including Chairman BDC Tangdar Reyaz Ahmad, Chairperson BDC Teetwal Nawshada Akhtar, and a representative of civil society from Bopar Mandal Tangdar.

In the joint meeting convened by Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan, all three proposed options for the alignment of the 4-lane National Highway RT-TC were thoroughly discussed with the stakeholders.

DC Ayushi Sudan shared her insights on the tour and commended PRIs and members of civil society for their positive outlook and contributions to developmental initiatives. She directed Tehsildar Karnah to prepare a comprehensive report with recommendations in consultation with technical experts and other stakeholders to expedite the finalization of this crucial road project's alignment.

During her visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with local residents regarding development issues, attended various delegations, patiently listened to their demands, and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers.

Furthermore, Ms. Ayushi Sudan visited the Sharada Temple at LOC Teetwal and reviewed infrastructural projects aimed at promoting Border Tourism in Teetwal, which is located near the Zero Line.

As the chief guest at the Shardha Invitation Cricket Tournament's final match in Teetwal, the Deputy Commissioner distributed prizes among the players. She expressed her gratitude to the cricket teams from NCR Delhi that participated in the tournament and highlighted Teetwal's rich history and substantial potential for Border Tourism (KNS)
