SRINAGAR, AUGUST 21 (KNS) : Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today reviewed the status of progress on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi PM-KISAN in south Kashmir.

 

 While addressing a meeting of officers of south Kashmir including Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Anantanag, Director Agriculture impressed upon the concerned officers to ensure that all the set targets under different scheme and flagship programs are achieved by the end of August 2022.

 Chowdhary reiterated the department's commitment to work for the welfare and wellbeing of the farming community.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWhile highlighting the importance of the PM KISAN scheme, he  said the scheme is aimed to provide income support to all the eligible farmers and to supplement the financial needs of the farmers in providing various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields.

 Director Agriculture gave onspot directions regarding completion of PM Kissan Targets so that they could be achieved well in time and farmer's get proper benefit of the scheme and other flagship programs being implemented by the Department. 

He highlighted the importance of achieving the set targets under different centrally sponsored schemes for the development of the farming sector.

Later on Director Agriculture visited various villages and interacted with the concerned farmers and field officers of the department. He also visited different zones of south Kashmir.(KNS)
