Omar Abdullah led party delegation visits bereaved household at Narwara for condolences

Srinagar Dec 08 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of the Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed grief over the death of J&K Police Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani.

 

In his condolence message, Dr. Farooq said, “My heart goes out to the family of the slain police cop. There is no place for such abominable acts of violence. Such violence only leaves behind a trail of pain and misery. May the departed soul rest in Jannat.”

In his condolence message, Omar said, "Deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sub-Inspector Masroor Ahmed Wani. He put up a very brave fight after being injured when he was fired upon by militants in Srinagar recently while he was playing cricket with boys in his neighbourhood. My condolences to his loved ones & his colleagues. May Allah grant him a place in Jannat.”

Meanwhile Omar Abdullah visited the Narwara locality in Shahar-e-Khas to commiserate with the bereaved household of the slain police cop Masroor Ahmad Wani. Joined by party functionaries he offered fateha and prayed for peace to the departed soul. He was accompanied by party treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Political Advisor to President Mushtaq Guroo, Political Advisor to VP Mudassar Shamiri.(KNS)
