Srinagar, August 6 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the passing of noted educationist Bashir Ahmad Masoodi, uncle of the party's senior leader and MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi.

In their condolence messages, the duo described the late Bashir Ahmad Masoodi as a respected educationist whose life was marked by dedication, integrity, and service to society. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Meanwhile, Dr. Farooq Abdullah visited the bereaved family at their residence in Upper Soura to offer his condolences. He offered Fatiha for the departed soul, expressed solidarity with the grieving family and conveyed his sympathies to the sons and sons-in-law of the deceased.

Among others the party's General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar also extended their heartfelt condolences and prayed for peace to the departed soul.(KNS)
