Srinagar, May 05 (KNS): A driver died after crashing a car into the exterior gate of the White House late Saturday, reports said today.

Reports said that a vehicle traveling at a high speed collided with an outer perimeter gate on the White House complex, but there was no threat to the White House itself.

They said that officers arrived at the scene and attempted to render aid to the driver who was found to be dead.

They added that the Secret Service, along with the police and fire departments of the District of Columbia, have launched an investigation into the fatal crash. (KNS)
