Farooq Abdullah urges India to stand for Gaza

Srinagar, Nov 03 (KNS): National Conference (NC) President and former J&K chief minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday urged India to stand up against situation in Gaza.


Dr. Farooq who earlier chaired PAGD meeting at his residence here in Srinagar, while addressing media expressed grave concern over discontinuation of the supply of water and electricity in the besieged Gaza.

He asserted the situation in Gaza is devastating and urged India to play its role in easing out the sufferings of people dwelling in Gaza. “Look at the condition of the hospitals there are no medicines, no electricity and water. I feel people of India should stand up against the ongoing situation in Gaza,” Dr. Farooq said.

Earlier the NC Patron and MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah held a meeting of People’s Alliance of Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) a forum meant for restoration of rights nullified by Government of India on August 05, 2019. The meeting was attended by PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti, NC leader Hasnain Masoodi and CPI(M) leader & former MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami. (KNS)
