JAMMU, AUGUST 16, 2023(KNS): Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today directed Party cadre to gear-up for upcoming Urban Local Body and Panchayati Raj elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the press release, Ghulam Hassan Mir was addressing the party leadership of Jammu, frontal heads, district presidents, heads of different cells and wings at Gandhi Nagar Office during a review meeting where he pressed the leaders to intensify the outreach programme across Jammu region.

He said that the outreach programme should be intensified and the people should be educated about the policy, and agenda of equitable development of Apni Party.

He asked them to gear up for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies, and Panchayati Raj elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

He however expressed concern over inordinate delay in the restoration of democratic system in Jammu and Kashmir as it has given rise to the feeling of alienation from the administration, and the gap between Govt and people has widened.

“The elected Govt is answerable to the people. Therefore, the elected Govt must replace the present form of governance that would be responsible for bringing more transparency, and accountability in Govt,” he added.

He said that the Apni Party believes that natural resources should be used sustainably with an aim to upgrade the living standard of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, he criticised the politics of regional and religious divide and asked the Party cadre to work for the unity and equal development in both the regions.

“There is no place for hate, and regional or religious divide in the Apni Party. The people have already suffered a lot due to the divisive politics of the traditional political parties. We shall come out and work for the unity of Jammu and Kashmir and its people in all the regions,” he added.

He further stated that the Apni Party believes in the politics of realism and equitable development in J&K.

“The ground level workers have a very important role to promote the unity and feeling of brotherhood among the people,” he said.
