Government Orders Transfers and Postings of Several JKAS Officers

Srinagar, May 07 (KNS: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a series of transfer and posting orders affecting several Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers. 


The orders, dated May 7, 2025, were issued by the General Administration Department and take immediate effect.  

Mufti-M-Farid-ud-din, JKAS, previously serving as Special Secretary to the Government in the Industries and Commerce Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional District Development Commissioner for Kupwara. Similarly, Ghulam Rasool Mir, JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment orders, has been appointed as Additional District Development Commissioner for Baramulla.  

Pankaj Magotra, JKAS, also awaiting adjustment, has been assigned the role of Additional District Development Commissioner for Poonch. Meanwhile, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, JKAS, Special Secretary in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, has been transferred to serve as Additional District Development Commissioner for Ganderbal.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel  

In another key move, Mohd. Ashraf Sheikh, JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama, who was under transfer orders to Awantipora, will now continue in his current position in Pulwama. Reyaz Ahmad Shah, JKAS, Joint Director (Administration) in the6 Directorate of Rural Development, Kashmir, has been directed to await further adjustment orders in the General Administration Department.  

The government has also appointed Gulzar Ahmad, JKAS, as Additional Deputy Commissioner for Kupwara, while Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, JKAS, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner for Awantipora. Additionally, Mazahir Hussain Shah, JKAS, has been assigned the role of Sub-Divisional Magistrate for Ramsoo.   (KNS)
