The unfolding crisis has prompted swift action from authorities, who have deployed teams to investigate the root cause of the land subsidence in the area.

The ordeal began yesterday evening, about 5 km away from Ramban, as the ground under the picturesque landscape gave way to a cascading landslide.

The aftermath has left the roads in shambles, severely impacting transportation, and as per the officials around 30-40 houses in the vicinity have borne the brunt of nature's fury.

In response to the escalating situation, authorities have sprung into action, conducting surveys and assessments to ascertain the extent of the damage and identify potential risks.

The District Administration Ramban has also launched a comprehensive support initiative aimed at providing round-the-clock assistance to families affected by the ongoing calamity at Pernote.
A pivotal component of this initiative is the establishment of a 24/7 kitchen facility at the campsite in Pernote, bolstering the ongoing rescue and rehabilitation endeavors.
