Srinagar Nov 23 (KNS): In a remarkable display of skill, the students of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) have emerged victorious in the recently concluded Skating and District Level Karate Competition 2023 held in Jammu and Srinagar.
Hooriya Showkat, a 4th-grade student at GVEI clinched an impressive one gold and two silver medals, showcasing her exceptional prowess on the skating rink.
Her stellar performance has not only garnered local acclaim but has also earned her a coveted spot in the upcoming National Skating Championships scheduled to take place in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in December 2023.
Also, in the Inter-School District Level Karate Competition 2023 organized by Youth Service and Sports (YSS) for boys and girls at BHSS Zadibal, Srinagar, two more young talents from GVEI clinched gold medals. Wafai Tazkiya and Daheem Fatima, both students of class 7th, demonstrated exceptional skill and determination in the intense karate competition, bringing further glory to their school.
The achievements of Hooriya, Wafai, and Daheem reflect the commitment and excellence fostered by the GVEI's physical education department.
Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Wani extended his heartfelt congratulations to the department for their continuous efforts in nurturing and honing the athletic talents of the students.
