Handwara Feb 12 (KNS): Residents of several villages in Mawer Handwara Monday voiced their concern over inadequate internet service facility from Jio and Airtel telecom operators.

Hamlets including Umar Abad Lam Audoora, Warpora, Checki Audoora, Drugnsoo, and adjoining areas have been grappling with sluggish internet services for a very long time, causing inconvenience to the local population.

Nissar Ahmad, a local lamented that the ongoing issue of low-speed internet has made it nearly impossible for them to access essential online services. "Despite reaching out to Jio and Airtel customer care services multiple times, the complaints are yet to be answered, leaving locals in hardships," he said.

In light of mounting grievances, the consumers of these villages have urged authorities to intervene and direct the internet service providers to restore high-speed internet services in the locality.

"The lack of adequate internet connectivity not only hampers access to information but also impedes their ability to engage in online education, work remotely, and stay connected with the wider digital world," another local told.

The residents hoped that their grievance will be heard at the earliest, and high speed internet will be restored. (KNS)
