Srinagar, Aug 02 (KNS): Senior CPI(M) leader and former MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami Wednesday hoped that people of Jammu and Kashmir will get justice from the Supreme Court.
Speaking to KNS over phone from Delhi, he said that it is good that Supreme Court took up the pleas and they are hopeful the top court will deliver justice to the people of J&K.
He said that its better late than never.
A 5-judge bench of the Supreme Court is hearing pleas challenging abrogation of Article 370 from today.
Article 370 that gave special constitutional status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir was scrapped on August 05, 2019, following which Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act 2019 came into being, dividing the state into 2 Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. (KNS)
