Hybrid Terrorist, 3 associates Arrested In Budgam, Pulwama

  

Srinagar, Sep 08(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that it arrested a hybrid terrorist and his associate in Pakharpora area of the budgam district while two terrorist associates were also arrested in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

 

A police spokesperson in a statement said that police in Pulwama arrested two terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT in Gudoora area of the district and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.

 

"Acting on specific intelligence input, an intensive search was conducted by Pulwama Police in the apple orchards of Gudoora Pulwama. During search operation, 02 terrorist associates were apprehended tactfully. They have been identified as Suhail Firdous son of Firdous Ahmad Sheikh resident of Mahradpora Utterpora Puchal and Shahid Gul son of Gh Mohd.Bhat resident of Wagum Pulwama," it said.

 

From their possession incriminating materials were recovered. The investigation revealed that both the accused persons are terrorist associates of an active terrorist Aqib Sher Gojri linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT. Preliminary investigation also reveals that arrested terrorist associates were in a conspiracy with terrorist Aqib Sher-Gojri to carry out terrorist attacks in Pulwama.

 

A case vide FIR No. 239/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station & further investigation has been taken up.

 

 similarly, Police in Budgam alongwith Army (53RR) apprehended a hybrid terrorist and his associate in Pakharpora area of the district.

 

The duo have been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Bhat son of Gh. Mohd Bhat resident of Karapora Chararsharief, (a hybrid terrorist) and his associate Yawer Maqbool Ganai son of Mohd Maqbool Ganaie resident of Karapora Charar-Sharief.

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested duo were operating under the banner of proscribed terror outfit LeT/ TRF in Pakherpora area.

 

From their possession, arms & ammunition including 01 Pistol, 01 Pistol magazine, 9 rounds and other incriminating material were recovered.

 

A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief & further investigation has been taken up.(KNS).
