Srinagar, Aug 06(KNS): Famed socio-religious organization Karwaan-i-Islami international convened it's general council meeting on Sunday,August 6.It  was convoked at the premier educational institution of Karwan-i-Islami, Al-Jamai-al-Qadiriyya in Trigam Sumbal, Bandipora.

The meeting saw participation of a sizeable number people including  Executive Council members,representatives of different organizational units, associates ,volunteers and members of the organization. It was held in order to discuss and deliberate over different facets of the forthcoming annual conference of the organization titled " Shah-i-Jeelan conference " . Notably , the conference, each year, witnesses presence of tens of thousands of people at  Al-Jamia-al-Qadiriyya, Trigam sumbal (Bandipora) . Scholars from across the subcontinent and the Arab world are invited to this conference. This year , it is scheduled to be held on 3rd of September.

The said convention was led by the chief patron of Karwan-i-Islami Allama-Mawlana Shaykh Gulam Rasool Hami himself . At the meet, the participants expressed their gratitude to Allama Hami for being consistent with the consolidation of the mission of Ahlus-sunnah in the light of spiritual and sufi guidance.

Meanwhile, many others forwarded their viewpoints and insights regarding organization of this year's conference, in an upgraded and apt manner.In the end, Allama-Mawlana Hami addressed the gathering and put forth a group of norms and directives to be observed by all the responsible persons and volunteers during the said conference.

The meeting concluded with the pledge-taking ceremonial whereby all the participants resolved to utilize their resources,time and whatnot for the cause of Ahlus-sunnah through their allegiance to Allama Hami and Karwan-i-Islami.
