Srinaga, Aug 26 (KNS) The Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2026, powered by Athwas Retail and Athwas Hyundai, successfully conducted its much-awaited Player Bidding Ceremony for Season 2, marking another significant milestone in the league’s journey towards strengthening the football ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir.
The bidding witnessed participation from around 200 talented footballers, who went under the hammer as the six participating franchises competed to build their squads for the upcoming season. Following an intense and competitive bidding process, all six teams successfully secured their respective players, completing their squads ahead of the league.
The ceremony brought together franchise owners, team representatives, coaches, footballers, league officials and organisers, reflecting the growing professional structure and popularity of the Kashmir Super League. The player bidding also provided a valuable platform for local footballers to showcase their talent and earn an opportunity to compete at a higher level.
The six franchises — United Elegant FC, Sanctorum United, Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC, Swift Strikers Rainawari FC, Athwas India XI FC and New JK United FC — have now assembled their squads and will begin preparations for the second season.
