Anantnag, Nov 11(KNS): Dealing a significant blow to the People’s Democratic Party, Sarwar Mufti, cousin of former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, joined the Democratic Progressive Azad Party in Bijbehara, Anantnag.
An senior DPAP told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that Sarwar joined the DPAP in a ceremony led by party president Ghulam Nabi Azad in Bijbehara town.
Prior to attending the party function, Azad, accompanied by other leaders, visited Padshahi Bagh to offer Fateh-e-Khani at the grave of Mufti Muhammad Sayeed. However, upon reaching the grave, they found the door locked. Undeterred, Azad and fellow leaders proceeded to offer Fateh-e-Khani outside the locked grave.(KNS).
