New Delhi, Mar 24 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, with the two leaders exchanging views on the evolving situation in West Asia and agreeing on the need for de-escalation and the restoration of stability in the region.
In a post on X, PM Modi as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the talks covered a range of regional issues, during which India reiterated its stance in favour of de-escalation and an early return to peace.

The Prime Minister also underscored the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, emphasising that it must be kept open, secure, and accessible in the interest of global trade and energy security.
The two leaders agreed to remain in touch and continue their consultations on ongoing efforts to ensure peace and stability in West Asia, PM Modi added. (KNS)
