Jammu November 30 (KNS): : Priya Sethi BJP national executive member and former minister on Thursday maintained that it was government led by PM Narendra Modi under which a new era of women emancipation has began across the country by ensuring rightful dues to this section comprising almost 50 percent of the total population.
The senior BJP leader was addressing a Jan Samvad Abhiyan after the launch of Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra and landmark 10,000th Jan Aushadhi Kendra (JAKs) by PM Modi from AIIMS, Deoghar as part of his promise to increase JAKs from current 10,000 to 25,000.

“The Prime Minister had announced both these initiatives viz. providing drones to women SHGs and increasing the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras from 10,000 to 25,000 during his Independence Day speech earlier this year and today’s event marks the fulfillment of these promises”, she asserted adding that women’s rapid empowerment is a key feature of PM Modi-led Centre and from the day one of its inception, the BJP dispensation is working to achieve gender equality, whereby men and women have equal authority and access to opportunities for education, economic activities, media, healthcare, self-growth, etc. She said that present regime led by PM Modi has placed a major emphasis on empowering women and improving their position in all spheres of life.
The senior BJP functionary said that under the ambit of Modi rule, a new paradigm is being developed to increase women’s empowerment as this is crucial for the rapid growth of country’s economy which would ultimately result into seamless progress. Giving vibrant examples to fortify her assertion, Priya Sethi said that today, the largest democracy in the world is led by Droupadi Murmu, the first President of the country hailing the tribal heritage while first female finance minister in the country is economist Nirmala Sitharaman and in the same context the Uttarakhand Assembly is now under the direction of Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan. She said that the aforesaid examples form testimony to the fact that Modi Government has proved beyond doubt that women are in no way less than their male counterparts and that the women have exploited their enormous power and decisiveness to shape narratives in every profession. She also highlighted that fulfilling the promise, PM Modi will soon provide drones to 15K Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendras along with training to make use of these technogical marvels in agri-sector.
Priya Sethi said that the women have been the main beneficiaries under UJJWALA LPG connection scheme with 100% target achievement besides ensuring clean energy to every kitchen. She said that as of today J&K can boast of a road to every village especially in the remote and far flung areas.
She asserted that there is no iota of doubt that Modi govt has fulfilled it's Commitment in empowering the women of the country.(KNS)
