Srinagar, Aug 28 (KNS): A new quarterly business magazine, Prime Business Voice, was launched here on Friday with a focus on Kashmir’s entrepreneurs, enterprises and emerging economic opportunities.

The publication, founded by media professional Rouf Majid, will cover business, technology, policy and economic affairs, while highlighting developments in investment, tourism, governance, environment, corporate social responsibility and other emerging sectors.

The launch event was attended by representatives from the business community, government, healthcare, architecture, engineering, legal and hospitality sectors.

Rouf Majid, Editor and Publisher of the magazine, said Prime Business Voice was launched to bring greater focus to the work and contribution of entrepreneurs and professionals in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Kashmir has a remarkable community of entrepreneurs and professionals whose contributions often remain under-reported. This platform is aimed at bringing those stories into focus while providing credible analysis of the region’s economy,” he said.

Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Javid Ahmad Tenga welcomed the initiative and said the magazine could provide a platform for dialogue between entrepreneurs and policymakers.

“Such a platform can strengthen the voice of commerce, help the business community navigate regulatory issues and build connections that contribute to sustainable growth,” Tenga said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Prominent urologist and transplant surgeon Dr Salim Wani said the publication could help examine the link between healthcare, innovation, policy and the economy.

Architect-engineer Imtiyaz Ahmad Chiloo said the magazine could serve as a platform for sharing ideas on sustainable construction, innovative design and the challenges facing the sector.

Representatives from the hospitality sector also welcomed the initiative, saying it could help highlight the wider economic contribution of tourism and related businesses.

Sajad Ahmad Mir, CEO of Sajad Mir and Associates, said discussions on urban mobility, public infrastructure, governance and legal literacy were important for commercial growth.

“I am sure platforms like Prime Business Voice will facilitate informed discussion on these issues and help strengthen understanding and collaboration across sectors,” he said.

The magazine will be available in print and digital formats. The first edition will have an initial print circulation of 1,000 copies and will be distributed across corporate centres, hotels, educational institutions and professional hubs.

The inaugural issue features profiles, interviews and sectoral analyses on businesses and professionals contributing to Kashmir’s evolving economic landscape. (KNS)
