NTTA jointly organises cleanliness drive in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 01(KNS): Srinagar's Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA), in collaboration with the Department of National Career Services Centre for Differently Abled, Government of India's Ministry of Labour and Employment (Director General of Employment), Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), KWT, and NLCO, joined forces today to lead a cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhta-hi-Sewa campaign initiated by the Government of India.


Dedicated volunteers from these associations and the respective department staff gathered in Nawabgh Kalla Mohalla, Lal Bazar, to undertake a mission focused on neighborhood cleaning and promoting the significance of a clean and green environment.

The enthusiastic volunteers diligently collected accumulated waste and debris from the streets, revitalizing Nawabgh Kalla Mohalla into a cleaner, more inviting space for residents and tourists. Beyond cleaning, their efforts extended to raising awareness within the local community about the crucial need to preserve the cleanliness and greenery of our surroundings.

Mr. Manzoor Wangnoo, Chairman of NTTA, conveyed his sincere appreciation to the Department of Labour and Employment and the Srinagar Municipal Corporation for their active involvement in this noble initiative. He also applauded the unwavering support provided by NLCO and KWT, emphasizing how the collaborative efforts of these organizations significantly contributed to the success of the cleanliness campaign.
