Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNS): A special training session was organised by Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS)in collaboration with department of Psychology, University of Jammu and Mukhtha foundation. Professor Arti Bakshi HoD Department of Psychology welcomed the participants and impressed on the need of these kinds of specialized training workshops.
The session was inaugurated by Professor Keshaw Sharma Dean Academic Affairs University of Jammu, who was chief guest in the occasion highlighted the role of parents, teachers and community in general for the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.
Professor Darshana Sharma, Dean Department of Education was guest of Honour. Muktha foundation which is working on the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Mental Health covered different issues in relation to the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and also different techniques for its prevention.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe objective of the workshop was to initiate a campaign to make child safety and prevention a reality.
G A Sofi, Mission Director ICPS on the valedictory session spoke on the importance of good parenting for the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and also highlighted the role of trained professionals in dealing with the prevention of any form of Abuse.
Others present on the occasion were Ashwini N.V Director Muktha Foundation and Ms Annette Shaju.
The participants were Protection Officers, Legal Officers, Social worker, Counselor and Outreach Workers of JKICPS and scholars students of Department of psychology, University of Jammu. (KNS)
