PAGD was an option to fight BJP's onslaught Unitedly- Mehboob Beg

Anantnag, April 14 (KNS): Interacting with party office bearers of zone Anantnag, former parliamentarian & General Secretary Organisation J&KPDP Dr Mehboob Beg expressed disappointment over PAGD's failure to provide an opportunity to the people to express their anger and resentment towards BJP for what they did to the people of the state starting from August 5 2019 till date.

Dr Beg said that starting with depriving the people of the special constitutional provisions,  a solemn commitment by the republic of India to the permanent residents of the state, the alarming rise in unemployment of our youth, snatching away their lands,  NIA raids, dismissal of people from govt.jobs, installation of smart meters, stopping of food rations, bulldozing of homes and livelihoods and enrolment of non-state subjects as voters and on and on. He said number of parliament seats ( 3) is an insignificant number in overall national landscape(543).But a united fight on these seats would have send a clear signal that people in Kashmir have rejected BJP's repressive treatment of our own people.

Expressing dismay Beg said that unfortunately the president of the PAGD choose party interest above and over the interests of the people. Their unilateral decision of announcing party candidates for upcoming parliamentary elections even without consulting PAGD members’ smacks of arrogance. I appeal to the voters to vote for the party candidates who they think can speak loudly, clearly and fearlessly for their rights in the parliament. To me PDP is the one said, Beg further added.(KNS)
