New Delhi, Feb 02 (KNS) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a late-evening engagement on Monday, held a conversation with United States President Donald Trump, describing the interaction as "wonderful."
Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister stated that he was "delighted" by the announcement of a reduced tariff rate of 18% for Made in India products, a move he directly credited to President Trump.
"A big thanks to President Trump on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India for this wonderful announcement," PM Modi's post read.
Highlighting the strategic significance of the dialogue, the Prime Minister emphasised, "When two large economies and the world’s largest democracies work together, it benefits our people and unlocks immense opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Prime Minister's remarks extended to global affairs, where he affirmed, "President Trump’s leadership is vital for global peace, stability, and prosperity. India fully supports his efforts for peace."
