Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): Former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran while lashing out political parties for using Palestine flag, says it speaks their power hungry outlook which is undeniably unethical and opportunistic.
He said, "I cannot recall a time when the flag of Jammu and Kashmir, the former flag of the region, was displayed in Palestine by its people. Today, we observe some political figures who initially campaigned against the BJP, promising to keep them at a distance, but ultimately formed alliances with them. Consequently, their family members have assumed prominent roles as ministers and chief ministers with the support of the BJP. Now, they are prominently displaying Palestinian flags. I want to be clear that people cannot be easily deceived."
Lashimg out on such political parties and leaders, he said "I would like to ask these political figures, what is the purpose of this dramatic display? By using the Palestinian flag in this manner, are you attempting to exploit religious and international conflicts to further your hunger for power and position? Such actions are undeniably unethical and opportunistic." (KNS)
