Reclaiming J&K Rights Priority in LS Elections, Says PDP's Mir

Srinagar, Apr 07(KNS): Mohammad Fayaz Mir, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from the Baramulla Lok Sabha segment, emphasized the urgency of addressing the grievances of Jammu and Kashmir residents.

Mir stressed that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are pivotal for reclaiming the rights revoked by New Delhi on August 5, 2019, including the statehood, Article 370, and 35(A).

He further pointed out the plight of thousands of youths incarcerated, underscoring the necessity of a credible voice to advocate for the people of J&K.

"Today's Lok Sabha elections are not for development, rather it is aimed at to get back the rights snatched by New Delhi on August 05, 2019," he said.

"Our statehood was taken away, Article 370, 35(A) were abrogated, thousands of youth are languishing in jails. So there is a need of credible voice who can flag up concerns of people of J&K. I am hopeful people will vote us in the upcoming LS elections," he added.
