Srinagar September 30 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir: The Kashmiri community came together in a heartfelt tribute to commemorate the 9th death anniversary of the revered Islamic scholar and leader, Hujjatul Islam Wal-Muslimeen Al Haaj Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Ansari (RA). The solemn event took place at Baba Mazaar (Zadibal), where prominent leaders and members of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) gathered for a Condolence meet and to pay their respects to the late Maulana.
The day began with Fatiyah Khwani and Quran Khwani, creating a serene atmosphere of remembrance and reflection. As the recitations resonated through the morning air, attendees were reminded of the spiritual legacy left behind by Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Ansari.
The program continued with stirring Manqabat and Marsiya recitations dedicated to Imam Hussain (AS) by the talented Zakir Majid. His moving performances left an indelible impression on the audience, invoking a deep sense of devotion.
Prominent leaders in attendance included the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee, Mr Nizamudin Bhat, Vice President of JKPC, Mr Raja Ajaz, Secretary of JKPC, Mr Abbas Wani, Provincial President of JKPC, Mr Khurshid Alam, Provincial Secretary of JKPC, Mr Irfan Matto, Vice President of Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Manzoor Wani, Incharge of Uri, Dr Bashir Chalkoo, Incharge of Khanyar, Mr Sajad Alam, and from the Youth Wing of JKPC, President YJKPC, Mr Mudasir Karim, General Secretary of YJKPC, Mr Azad Parvaz, Joint Secretary Srinagar of YJKPC, Mr Zulfikhar Bhat, Vice President of Zadibal of YJKPC, Mr Amjad Bhat, and Head of Social Media for YJKPC, Mr Aqib Bhat.
In a touching moment, JKPC leaders, along with members of the Youth Wing, paid their respects at the grave of Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Ansari at Baba Mazaar at 10:30 AM, offering heartfelt prayers and remembering his contributions to the community.
Continuing the tribute, JKPC leaders visited the residence of AJKSA President and PC Secretary General, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, at Darul Jawad (Qamarwari). Their presence was a gesture of solidarity and a mark of respect for the late Maulana. General Secretary and Senior JKPC leader, Mr Abid Hussain Ansari, was also present, underscoring the unity and shared values within the party.
Throughout the day, a Quran Khwani and Majlis E Imam Hussain (as) was organized at Shilwat (Sonawari), offering an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and prayer.
The 9th death anniversary of Hujjatul Islam Al Haaj Maulana Iftikhar Hussain Ansari was a day of deep reflection and unity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
