New Delhi, June 24 (KNS) ; The Indian Embassy in Tehran on Wednesday issued a revised advisory for Indian nationals, acknowledging an improvement in the overall security situation in Iran but maintaining its stance against all non-essential travel to the country.
In an official communication issued on June 24 accessed news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the Embassy said it had been closely monitoring the prevailing conditions in the Islamic Republic. While noting recent positive developments, the advisory made it clear that Indian nationals should continue to avoid non-essential travel until further notice.
For Indian citizens already residing in Iran or those compelled to travel for unavoidable professional or functional reasons, the Embassy has advised extreme caution. They have been directed to remain vigilant at all times, maintain situational awareness, and follow local developments through credible sources. Compliance with instructions issued by Iranian authorities has also been strongly emphasised.

The Embassy has also reiterated its appeal to all Indian nationals currently in Iran, as well as those arriving in the country, to register their details with the mission at the earliest. Officials said the registration process is essential for effective communication and timely assistance in case of any emergency.
Indian nationals have been asked to regularly check the Embassy’s official website and social media handles for updates and future advisories.
