Srinagar, Sept 29 (KNS): Srinagar MedCity Heart Institute, located at Nowgam Bypass on Friday organized free health check-up camp on eve of World Heart Day. The aim of the health camp was to create awareness about different cardiac issues and their treatment.
The theme of World Heart Day 2023 as “Use Heart, Know Heart”. The event was marked by media interaction with Cardiology Department and followed by a Free Cardiac Health Check-up and awareness camp, wherein people from different corners of the Valley were clinically screened for different cardiac issues and appropriate advice & treatment given by the heart team.
The health camp was attended by the Cardiac Science Team comprising veteran cardiologist Dr. Hakim Irfan Showkat, Chairman & HOD of Interventional Cardiology; Dr. Sadaf Anwar, Director, CEO & Head of Non-Invasive Cardiology; Dr.A.G Ahangar, Ex Director SKIMS & Ex HOD CTVS SKIMS; Mir Sarwar, renowned Bollywood actor of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Many important blood tests were done free of cost which include Blood Sugar, Lipid Profile, HbA1C etcalong with BP, HR, BMI, Spo2 etc. Other Heart investigations were done on discounted rates like ECG, ECHO, TMT, STRESS ECHO, ANGIOGRAGPHY, STENTING , PACEMAKER etc. The media persons covered the event and interacted with the team and attendees about various aspects of cardiac ailments and the importance of World Heart Day.
