Supreme Court to hear pleas challenging abrogation of Article 370 tomorrow

 Srinagar, July 10 (KNS): The Supreme Court will hear pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370 for the first time on Tuesday. Union government had on August 5, 2019 abrogated Article 370 and 35-A that gave special provisions to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per details available with Kashmir News Service (KNS) Supreme Court will hear a batch of pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370 tomorrow.

During the hearing petitioners challenging the abrogation of the article will also be present in the Supreme Court.

Petitioners include senior vice-president ANC, Muzaffar Shah, National Conference senior leader and member of Parliament Hasnain Masoodi and other leaders of PAGD.

Talking to KNS, one of leaders confirmed to KNS that they will present during the hearing of the case in the top court tomorrow.

"This is for the first time that the top court is taking up its hearing. We hope justice will be delivered. Since the the case is at an early stage, lets hope case will be taken up in a positive way," he said. (KNS)
