Two hand grenades recovered during naka checking in Baramulla; man held

 Baramulla, Aug 28 (KNS): Two hand grenades were recovered from a man during a naka checking operation in Kunzer area of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday, officials said.

 
The recovery was made at Wussan Bangil by a joint team comprising personnel from Police Station Kunzer, SOG Kunzer, CRPF's 176 Battalion and the Army's 2 Rashtriya Rifles, they said.
 
According to officials, the security personnel were conducting checks of vehicles and pedestrians when a man allegedly tried to flee after noticing the naka party.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
He was apprehended at the spot and identified as Shakir Nabi Lone, a resident of Hardu Aboora in Kunzer, officials said.
 
Two hand grenades were recovered from his possession during a personal search, they said.
 
A case under FIR No. 115/2026 has been registered at Police Station Kunzer under relevant provisions of law.
 
Further investigation into the matter is underway, officials said.(KNS).
