The aircraft, identified as an F-15E Strike Eagle, was carrying two personnel when it was brought down earlier this week. One crew member had been recovered soon after the incident, while the other remained missing for nearly two days.

 

Trump said the missing officer was located and brought back safely following a complex search-and-rescue mission carried out in hostile terrain.

The president said the rescued officer had sustained injuries but was out of danger.

 

He also claimed that both crew members were retrieved in separate operations deep inside what he described as “enemy territory,” without any American casualties.

 

Reports cited by international media, including Al Jazeera, had earlier indicated that efforts to locate the second crew member intensified amid challenging conditions on the ground.

 

Iranian media reports said the aircraft had crashed in a central province, following which local forces launched search operations.

 

The US has not provided operational details, and there was no immediate response from Iranian authorities on the rescue claims.(KNS).
