Langate June 05 (KNS): On the occasion of World Environment the schools falling in the Mawer Zone of North Kashmirs Kupwara organized a series of events aimed at raising awareness about the importance of environment. 

Every year, this day is observed as the day dedicated to educating masses about the environment, planting trees and clean surroundings besides raising awareness on environmental issues.

The event commenced with a spirited rally, as school children proudly displayed various placards carrying messages emphasizing the conservation of waterbodies and the environment and to fight the air pollution. 

ZEO Mawer Mohammad Maqbool expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the students,staff for their enthusiastic presence and extended appreciation to students who participated in differents events to highlight the importance of the environment. 

 Later, the students who participated in the rally's and painting competition, seminars were felicitated by teachers.(KNS)
