Handwara March 21 (KNS): Tehsil Administration Zachaldara in collaboration with other departments including Jal Shakti and Education organised a programme to mark the World Water day under the solgan Don't be so selfish, save water for your kid's future & under theme Water for prosperity and peace.
Various speakers speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of Water. Tehsildar Zachaldara, Syed Basharat Rasool while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the importance of sustainable management of fresh water resources. He urged the general public and students to play their part and assist the administration in efforts to keep these important resources clean and make them sustainable.
He said it is a collective cause and requires equal efforts from the government and public.
Later demonstration programme of water testing was conducted on the occasion by the technical experts of Jal Shakti department.(KNS)
