Uniting for Empowerment and Battling the Drug Crisis

Sopore, 12th Sept(KNS) In a resounding display of unity and determination, the Youth Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (YJKPC) recently hosted the WISE (Wear Smiles, Ignite Souls, Empower Youths) program in Sopore, a town in the heart of the picturesque Kashmir Valley. The event, graced by the presence of YJKPC President Mudasir Karim, General Secretary Azaad Parwaz, and Constituency President Sopore Junaid, was a rallying cry for youth empowerment and an emphatic rejection of the status quo.

The event kicked off with a vibrant atmosphere, where young and enthusiastic participants from across the region gathered with smiles on their faces and hope in their hearts. YJKPC President Mudasir Karim set the tone for the day, emphasizing the importance of youth engagement in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir.

Karim stated, “The youth of Jammu and Kashmir have the power to ignite change and transform our region into a beacon of progress and prosperity. It is our collective responsibility to empower our generation and provide them with the tools to drive this transformation.”

One of the key discussions that captivated the attendees was the growing menace of drug abuse in Sopore and surrounding areas. The youth, vocal and passionate, demanded the establishment of a Drug Deaddiction Center in Sopore to address this pressing issue. They expressed their deep concern over the lack of resources and initiatives to combat drug addiction, a problem that has afflicted many lives in the region.

Azaad Parwaz, the General Secretary of YJKPC, voiced their concerns, saying, “We cannot turn a blind eye to the devastating effects of drug addiction in our community. It’s time for action, and we demand immediate steps to set up a rehabilitation center to rescue our youth from this scourge.”

The gathering also saw impassioned discussions about the historical lack of empowerment by past political parties in the region. Junaid Parvaiz, the constituency President Sopore of YJKPC remarked, “Our past has been marked by missed opportunities and unfulfilled promises. We, the youth, have gathered here today to say enough is enough. We will unite, we will vote, and we will hold our representatives accountable for their actions.”

As the event concluded, there was a palpable sense of unity and purpose among the youth in attendance. They pledged to actively participate in the democratic process and promised to throw their weight behind YJKPC representatives who shared their vision for a brighter future in Jammu and Kashmir.

The WISE program in Sopore was not just a gathering of youth; it was a declaration of intent, a promise of change, and a rallying cry for empowerment. It marked a significant step forward in the journey to shape a better future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, one filled with smiles, ignited souls, and empowered individuals ready to lead their region towards progress and prosperity.(KNS).
