Srinagar, April 16 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) additional spokesperson and Youth general secretary Zuhaib Yousuf Mir on Tuesday expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in a tragic boat capsizing accident in Srinagar locality.
He strongly demanded an immediate increase in the number of NDRF teams with the required equipments so that the losses are minimized.
Zuhaib Yousuf also demanded a maximum compensation to those who lost their loved ones in the tragedy.
PDP leader criticized the administration for not completing the work on the bridge over the River Jhelum in the area from last six years.
“Had the work on the bridge completed in time the tragedy would not have taken place,” Zuhaib Mir said and added that it happened only because of the bureaucratic negligence.
He expressed solidarity and sympathy with the affected families and prayed for the victims.(KNS)
