Srinagar, March 08(KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Zuhaib Yousuf Mir on Friday extended warm greetings of MahaShivratri (Herath) to all, particularly Pandit brethren. He also praised the women folk on the Women’s Day.
In a message Zuhaib said, “Happy MahaShivratri to all and Herath to my Kashmiri Pandit brethren.”
Zuhaib wished the Pandit brethren and all others across the country on the auspicious occasion of Herath and prayed for their prosperity, dignity, happiness and well being.
“Also, Happy Women’s day to all the women out there who make lives easier, simpler and better,” Zuhaib added in his message, while referring to the world Women’s Day.
The falling of Shivratri on women’s day reminds me of concept I read long ago called “Ardhanarishvara” which represents the synthesis of masculine and feminine energies of the universe, Zuhaib said and added, in every aspect of life we all must remember this parity.
Zuhaib called upon the people across all faiths to respect and love each other so that the faith of humanity flourishes which unfortunately has been pushed back by our own ideas and deeds.(KNS).
